A new TV spot for TheBatman reveals a new look at The Riddler's outfits
The trailer for The Batman reveals a new look at Riddler's costume. In writer/director Matt Reeves' upcoming film, Paul Dano makes his DC debut as Edward Nashton, a serial killer who preys on Gotham's elite and taunts others with trick puzzles. Dano is formerly known for playing villains such as the evil preacher, Eli Sunday, in Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood, and the evil slave owner, John Tibeats, in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave. Now, Dano is set for a bigger breakthrough in The Batman.
What was once considered a private outing for Ben Affleck's Batman has now been adapted into an indie film set outside of the DC Extended Universe. Robert Pattinson has been tapped to portray a younger version of Bruce Wayne in his second year fighting crime and uncovering corruption in Gotham City. For Batman, writers Reeves and Peter Craig drew inspiration from the comic storylines of Year One, Halloween long, Ego, and Year Zero. The film's cast also includes Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffery Wright as Lieutenant James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as the supporting villain Penguin.
Now, the latest Batman TV spot has revealed a new look at Riddler's costume (via MovieTrailers Entertainment). The trailer features many of the highlights of Batman's marketing so far, from various shots of Gotham City to an explosive car chase involving Penguin and the Batmobile.
